Your roof is your first line of defense against the elements, but it’s also one of the most vulnerable parts of your home to damage. If you live in an area that gets snow or rain regularly, then there’s no doubt that at some point during the year you’ll need to repair or replace your roof. Most older-style roofs will last for around 15 to 20 years before needing repairs. Newer roofing systems can be engineered to last 30 years and beyond without issue. If your roof is starting to show its age you should probably have it inspected to rule out any surprises.
